BB Spoke

I Built This Brand in My Head Before It Existed Anywhere Else

When I decided to launch BB SPOKE, I didn't have a team. I didn't have an agency. I didn't have a mood board that someone else made.

I had a point of view. And I built everything from there.

The question I kept asking was: what does a luxury brand look like when it comes from Bronzeville? Not a brand that's inspired by the South Side like it's a Pinterest board. A brand that actually carries that address. That city. That particular way of moving through the world with standards and no apologies.

The identity had to hold Berlin in the same frame without either place canceling the other out. Chicago's weight. Berlin's precision. That tension is the brand.

The logo is spare because the clothes are the statement. The typography doesn't perform. The color logic follows the garment — not the trend cycle, not the season report, the garment. Photography uses real light in real places because I can't stand studio softness on clothes that are built to be worn in actual life.

We launched in Berlin in late 2024. Everything you see in this portfolio — brand mark, lookbook, campaign, digital — I directed it. All of it. One man, one vision, no committee.

That's not humility. That's the business model.
